Greeting everyone from Monument Valley.  I wish I could say it is beautiful but I haven’t see it yet since it was dark when I got here.  The trip here was real nice though, there was a storm brewing (in fact it is raining here now)  which made everything real beautiful at sunset.  Today was good I didn’t leave Grand Junction till about 11:00 or so and headed to Telluride which I would have liked to explore more but I was going to try to make it here before sunset.  I traveled to the back part of Telluride and got a few shots of Bridal Veil falls from a distance, I will definitely have to go back there at a later date.  I really like the Durango, Silverton, and Telluride Triangle. Ouray was nice too but with my check engine light on at the time I didn’t stop.  I was not impressed with the Montrose and Grand Junction scenery nearly as much as the afore mentioned cities.  The trip to Monument Valley was breathtaking.  I really loved the desert with the mesas with the afternoon setting sun, the desert colors of the desert really lit up with reds and tans and greens, and then you had the blues, purples, and grays from the storm.  With yellows and oranges from the setting sun it was one massive color gamut to behold.  I didn’t take photos which now I wish I would have because I didn’t make it to Monument Valley in time anyway.  I did video record it for a bit so maybe that will turn out some nice footage instead.

One thing I can say about it out here in Colorado/Utah/Arizona,is that you will see more then you can ever photograph and it will be bigger then your lens can capture. One thing I am learning too is to make sure you have enough time to see and do what you want to without being rushed.  If was certain I would be out here again I wouldn’t be trying to get it all in the amount of time that I have.  I would focus or more time in smaller areas.

Anyway till tomorrow.  I hope I have some good photos to share tomorrow of MV.
